ASEAN Business Barometer Survey: Call for Business Participation Across ASEAN
The Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) is pleased to share the ASEAN Business Barometer Survey, an initiative led by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) with support from CSIS Indonesia, DfD Lab, and JETRO. The survey aims to capture timely and practical insights from businesses operating across ASEAN to help inform regional economic policy discussions. The submission deadline is 16 January 2026.

The Canada-ASEAN Business Outlook Survey 2025 shows that while business sentiment remains positive, it has moderated. 69.2% of respondents remain optimistic about profitability in ASEAN, an 11.4 percentage point decline from 2024, with companies still generally planning to expand, but at a more measured pace.


Public Consultation on a Potential Canada-Thailand Free Trade Agreement
The Government of Canada has launched a public consultation inviting Canadians to share their views on a potential Canada–Thailand Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Open from December 13, 2025 to January 27, 2026, the consultation seeks input from the public, businesses, governments, civil society, and under-represented groups to help inform Canada’s trade policy priorities and potential negotiation objectives with Thailand.
