The Government of Canada has launched a public consultation inviting Canadians to share their views on a potential Canada–Thailand Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Open from December 13, 2025 to January 27, 2026, the consultation seeks input from the public, businesses, governments, civil society, and under-represented groups to help inform Canada’s trade policy priorities and potential negotiation objectives with Thailand.
This initiative reflects Canada’s commitment to inclusive, transparent trade policymaking and supports broader efforts to strengthen economic engagement in the Indo-Pacific region. Stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback on a range of issues, including market access, services, investment, sustainability, labour, and responsible business conduct.
