On August 20, 2023, the 12th AEM-Canada Consultation took place, with H.E. Zulkifli Hasan, the Minister of Trade from the Republic of Indonesia, and the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade, and Economic Development from Canada, as co-chairs.
During this meeting, the CABC conveyed the perspectives and suggestions of the private sector and its members, based on the significant discoveries from the CABC Business Outlook Survey 2023, to high-level government officials and ministers. The meeting acknowledged the insights provided by the CABC, particularly in areas such as liberalization, business and investment movement, food security, energy transition, and digital economy progression. The meeting also expressed gratitude for the constructive involvement of businesses in driving forward the ACAFTA negotiations.
