The demand for Quality education in Southeast Asia has consistently outstripped supply.
Despite the highest cost, Southeast Asia's burgeoning middle classes are turning to private education in increasing numbers and at all levels of education. The widespread use of supplementary education – tutoring outside the formal education system – including for primary school students, reflects this trend. Mid-range private schooling options – typically with larger class sizes and fewer facilities than international schools – are gaining popularity.
