Canada–ASEAN Business Sentiment Survey on Agriculture Trade

The Canada–ASEAN Business Council (CABC), in collaboration with the University of British Columbia’s School of Public Policy and Global Affairs (UBC SPPGA), invites businesses to participate in a new survey examining two-way business sentiment between Canada and ASEAN.

This research is part of a Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs capstone project conducted by UBC graduate students and is designed to better understand opportunities, challenges, and policy considerations shaping Canada–ASEAN trade, with a particular focus on agriculture and food supply chains.

Why your input matters

Insights from this survey will contribute to evidence-based analysis and policy recommendations aimed at:

  • Strengthening Canada–ASEAN economic cooperation.

  • Enhancing resilience in food and agricultural supply chains.

  • Identifying key barriers and opportunities faced by businesses operating across Canada and ASEAN.

The findings will support CABC’s ongoing work to advance practical, business-driven policy dialogue between the two regions.

The survey is open to:

  • Canadian businesses operating in ASEAN

  • ASEAN businesses operating in or trading with Canada

What to expect

  • Time commitment: Approximately 15–30 minutes

  • Format: Online questionnaire (multiple-choice) hosted on the UBC Qualtrics platform

  • Confidentiality: The survey is anonymous, and all responses will be aggregated and used solely for academic and policy analysis purposes
