The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on advancing zero-emission hydrogen technologies across Southeast Asia. This partnership aims to promote technology sharing, regulatory guidance, educational programs, and joint events to accelerate the adoption of green hydrogen solutions, supporting Vietnam’s ambitious net-zero emissions goal by 2050. The collaboration marks a significant step in fostering international cooperation to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors and strengthen sustainable energy development within the ASEAN region.
This partnership exemplifies the growing synergy between Canada’s cutting-edge clean technology expertise and ASEAN’s commitment to sustainable economic growth. We see this MoU as a strategic opportunity to deepen Canada-ASEAN trade ties in emerging green sectors, especially hydrogen energy. By facilitating collaboration, knowledge exchange, and investment between Canadian and ASEAN stakeholders, CABC envisions this initiative accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy, fostering innovation, and opening new pathways for sustainable development across the region.
