The Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC), in collaboration with graduate students from the Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs (MPPGA) program at the University of British Columbia, is pleased to share the full report of Cultivating Connections: Unlocking Canada–ASEAN’s Agri-Food Trade Potential.

The report examines the evolving landscape of Canada-ASEAN agricultural and agri-food trade, identifying key market trends, trade barriers, and strategic opportunities for deeper regional engagement. As ASEAN’s demand for food imports continues to rise, the report highlights the growing importance of strengthening long-term partnerships and enhancing Canada’s competitiveness across Southeast Asia.

Developed through research, stakeholder interviews, and industry survey responses, the report provides insights and recommendations for policymakers, businesses, and industry stakeholders seeking to expand Canada’s agri-food presence in the ASEAN region.

We invite members, partners, and stakeholders to explore the full report and engage in the ongoing conversation on strengthening Canada-ASEAN agri-food cooperation.
