Canada & ASEAN: Building Stronger Bridges for Mutual Growth

In celebration of the Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC)’s new accreditation as an entity associated with ASEAN, the CABC, in collaboration with the ASEAN Secretariat and the Government of Canada, is delighted to present an in-person only event focused on enhancing economic relations between Canada and ASEAN. This event will also examine ASEAN’s 2024 priorities under Lao PDR’s Chairmanship. The event aims to bring together thought leaders, policymakers, and business leaders from both regions to foster dialogue, collaboration, and partnerships.

Objectives:

• To announce and celebrate the CABC’s new ASEAN Accredited Entity status which marks a significant milestone for the Council and recognizes the importance of private sector engagement to advance the Canada-ASEAN relationship.
• To highlight Laos' 2024 ASEAN Chairmanship: Provide insights into the priorities and economic opportunities arising from Laos' upcoming ASEAN Chairmanship in 2024. Explore the potential for trade, investment, and cooperation during this crucial period.
• To provide valuable perspectives from the Canadian Ambassador to ASEAN on Canada's strategic priorities, policies, and initiatives in fostering economic ties with the ASEAN region.
• To offer a platform and opportunity to connect and network with Canada-ASEAN policy and business leaders.
