
4th CABC Business Forum 2018 – Highlights


KEYNOTE ADDRESS
"ASEAN welcomes the cooperation with the private corporations from Canada and stands ready to facilitate the engagement processes."
H.E Dato Lim Jock Hoi, Secretary General of ASEAN, gave a keynote address on the existing Canada-ASEAN trade relations and the benefits to both Canada and ASEAN. He also highlights the importance of ASEAN's work in e-commerce and its position to strengthening women in entrepreneurship.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS
"The Canada-ASEAN Business Council is a key partner of the Government of Canada, mobilizer and advocate for stronger commercial ties with ASEAN member states."
Another keynote address was given by The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of International Trade of Canada, who called for progressive and inclusive trade with more partners and transparency like the CABC. Trade should be a march to the top and not a race to the bottom.
