As we approach the two-year mark of the Canada-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations, this closed-door roundtable will provide an update to CABC and CanCham Thailand members and partners on the status of the FTA negotiations.
Participants will have the chance to hear from and directly engage with H.E. Ping Kitnikone, the new Canadian Ambassador to Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos and Mr. Jay Allen, Director General for Trade Negotiations at Global Affairs Canada, to voice their business priorities and challenges that can be alleviated through trade liberalization. We will also hear more details regarding the FTA negotiation timeline, key developments, and strategies going forward.
