Canada-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce (CACC)
Chambre de commerce Canada-ANASE
Introduction
The Canada-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce (CACC), launched by the Canada-ASEAN Business Council, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). CACC helps Canadian and ASEAN SMEs seize business opportunities, navigate the ASEAN market, and strengthen economic ties. With a focus on program delivery, CACC fosters collaborations between bilateral chambers and ASEAN counterparts, enhancing trade, investment, and economic connectivity across the region.

Objectives
1
To facilitate targeted, specialized, industry-focused, small group SME trade missions to ASEAN countries with collaborative execution with bilateral chambers in ASEAN, through coordination with ASEAN or ASEAN Member States Chambers of Commerce, Global Affairs Canada (GAC), Canadian provinces, and private sector business groups in Canada. The missions will be aligned with ASEAN country sector specializations and needs, as well as ASEAN and GAC trade/business policies, and be supported by the development of a qualifying process for participants from Canada and accepts nominations from partner organizations.
2
To enhance knowledge of Canada's trade mechanisms and agreements to SMEs with the goals of leveraging existing free trade agreements such as CPTPP, supporting the negotiating process, and empowering small businesses to prepare for future or upcoming trade agreements with ASEAN and Indonesia and leverage these agreements for trade diversification and international expansion.
3
To establish a unified collaboration framework between bilateral chambers, Canada-based groups, and initiatives. This aims to align efforts to achieve shared objectives, optimize resource use, and avoid competitive and inefficient ad-hoc approaches
4
To improve coordination and communication among regional bodies for effective trade policy advocacy. This will ensure that insights and feedback from these dialogues are shared and effectively communicated with big businesses, small businesses, local/bilateral groups, and regional/national bodies.
5
To facilitate the establishment of a collaborative network of Southeast Asian diaspora business organizations in Canada with established business groups, chambers, etc. to promote awareness and maximize their impact, as recommended by ASEAN and supported by ASEAN Member States, MFAs, and Diplomatic/Trade missions.
