Politics of Trade and Investment (Canada and ASEAN – March 22)

Mr. Gordon Brown, member of the Canadian House of Commons representing Ontario as a Conservative member. Mr. Brown was elected to Parliament in 2004 and has been re-elected in three subsequent elections. Currently, in 2014, he is Chair of the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage and is the House of Commons Chair of the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group. He is a member of the Trilateral Commission. He also sits on several all-party caucuses focusing on rural, health, border and other issues. He has also participated in numerous Parliamentary Groups. He was chosen in an earlier Parliament by Prime Minister Stephen Harper to Chair the Special Committee that reviewed the Anti-Terrorism Act. He was also chosen in an earlier Parliament by Prime Minister Stephen Harper to Chair the Ontario Conservative Caucus.
