The Québec Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie, Christine St-Pierre, recently announced an upcoming expansion of the network of representations abroad in connection with Québec’s new International Policy. Among other things, she announced that a Québec Government Office would be opened in Vietnam while a trade office would be opened in Singapore. These announcements reflect Québec’s desire to support and promote Québec expertise in South-East Asia. As a member of OIF (Organisation internationale de la francophonie), Vietnam holds great promise as a valued partner for Québec in the areas of education and culture.
